We looked for a better way to buy, sell, and stay connected in the UAE car scene. When we couldn’t find it, we built it.

Pistons started as a frustration. We were buying and selling cars in the UAE, doing what most people here do, and the experience was messier than it needed to be. The big classifieds sites were cluttered with outdated listings, unlabelled dealer inventory dressed up as private sales, and zero sense of community. Finding a part meant searching five different WhatsApp groups. Locating a trustworthy garage meant asking around until someone’s cousin knew someone.
There was no single platform purpose-built for the way UAE car people actually operate. Not one that combined a proper classifieds marketplace with a parts exchange, a community-rated garage directory, and a place to just talk cars with people who genuinely care.

That gap in the market was specific, but it was real. The UAE has one of the highest rates of car ownership in the world. Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and every other emirate run on cars.
