In a city where the default rental is a Lamborghini or a G 63, the old stuff is genuinely rare, and if you have ever tried to book one for a wedding or a shoot you will know how thin the options are.
We came across one small UAE collection doing exactly that, and photographed all of it. Four cars, three of them classic Mercedes and one first-generation Mustang, available for weddings, photoshoots and events. Here they are, what each one suits, and what to sort out before you book.

The roadster with the famous concave hardtop, and the one we would pick if the car has to appear in the photographs rather than just get someone there. It is small, it is elegant, and it reads instantly as “old Mercedes” even to people who know nothing about cars.
Best for: a wedding arrival or an editorial shoot where you want the car to look expensive without looking loud. Two seats, so the couple and nobody else.
A 230 S Fintail in deep black. Stately, a touch dramatic, and it photographs beautifully against the sort of hotel facades and palm-lined drives you get here.
Best for: the practical wedding car of the four. Four doors means the bride, the dress and a photographer all actually fit, which is the thing people forget when they book a roadster.
The W108 saloon in silver-grey. This is the understated one, closer to boardroom than ballroom, and the car you notice on the second look rather than the first.
Best for: a corporate event, a product launch or an anniversary, anywhere a bright red muscle car would be the wrong note.
