The Bentley Torcal is Bentley’s first fully electric car: a five-seat luxury SUV about five metres long, with up to 888 PS and up to 600 km of range. Bentley revealed it in London on 23 September 2026. It hasn’t announced a UAE price or launch date yet.
It’s also the first all-new Bentley in a decade, and the fourth model line next to the Continental GT, Flying Spur and Bentayga. Here’s what it is, what it costs abroad, what that means in dirhams, how it fits UAE charging, and what the same money buys in a used Bentley today.
Bentley’s first electric car, an all-wheel-drive SUV built by hand at Crewe in England, in two versions: Torcal (821 PS) and Torcal S (888 PS).
Not yet. Bentley and Bentley Emirates (Al Habtoor Motors) haven’t published a UAE price, order date or delivery date. Press reports point to production and first deliveries in 2027, starting with the US.
Reported prices are £173,300 in the UK and USD 218,000 in the US. The US price converts to about AED 800,000, which is a currency conversion, not a UAE price.
Up to 600 km on the WLTP cycle from a 113 kWh battery, and it can charge at up to 400 kW.

The Torcal is a battery-electric luxury SUV and the shortest four-door in Bentley’s range. Bentley says it’s “as comfortable as a Flying Spur, and as dynamic as a Continental GT Speed”. It seats five, with a three-person rear bench, and has a 460-litre boot plus a 90-litre front boot.
The name comes from El Torcal de Antequera, a limestone landscape in southern Spain, and Bentley also links it to the Latin root of the word “torque”. It’s built on a new hand-assembly line at Crewe, part of a self-funded investment of more than £350 million. Bentley doesn’t name the platform, but several outlets, including Autocar India and TechSpot, report that it shares its 800-volt underpinnings with the Porsche Cayenne Electric.
Bentley’s chief executive, Dr. Frank-Steffen Walliser, called it “one of the best Bentleys ever”. He also told the BBC that petrol and plug-in hybrid Bentleys will stay on sale, so in the UAE the Torcal will sit next to the V8 Bentayga and Continental rather than replace them.
These are Bentley’s official figures from its launch release and model page:
| Spec | Torcal | Torcal S |
|---|---|---|
| Power | 821 PS | 888 PS (with Launch Control) |
| Torque | 1,194 Nm | 1,350 Nm |
| 0 to 100 km/h | 3.4 s | 2.9 s |
| Top speed | 250 km/h | 260 km/h |
| Battery | 113 kWh net, 800V | 113 kWh net, 800V |
| Range (WLTP) | up to 600 km | up to 600 km |
| Peak DC charging | 400 kW | 400 kW |
| Wheels | 21-inch | 22-inch |
Bentley says the Torcal S is the most powerful production Bentley ever built, and that it deliberately capped the acceleration because most customers find anything harder uncomfortable. Both versions get two electric motors, all-wheel drive, all-wheel steering and fully active suspension with no anti-roll bars, which is a first for Bentley. The battery carries a 10-year or 100,000-mile warranty.
A few numbers still disagree between sources. Bentley’s own release gives the 10 to 80% charge as 16 minutes in one place and “just under 20 minutes” in another, so plan on 16 to 20 minutes on a 400 kW charger. The European range figure is also still pending type approval, so 600 km may move slightly.

The cabin is where the Torcal feels most like a Bentley. It debuts what Bentley calls the world’s first 100% Merino wool automotive fabric, alongside two new Mulliner finishes, Ombré Walnut and Sunburst Aluminium. There are curved OLED screens, an augmented reality head-up display, facial recognition and four powered doors.
Because an electric motor is nearly silent, Bentley recorded a drive sound it calls Dynamic Symphony using real drums, viola and bass guitar. You can switch it off. A 28-speaker, 1,780-watt Naim sound system is optional.
There is no official UAE price. Bentley hasn’t published one, and Bentley Emirates’ Dubai page lists the Torcal in its menu with no details yet.
What we do have is the price abroad, as reported by the motoring press:
| Market | Torcal | Torcal S |
|---|---|---|
| UK (reported) | £173,300 | £199,300 |
| US (reported) | USD 218,000 | USD 258,000 |
| US price converted to AED | about AED 800,000 | about AED 947,500 |
The AED row is a straight conversion at the dirham peg of 3.6725 to the dollar. Real UAE pricing will depend on specification, import costs, VAT and how Al Habtoor positions it, so treat it as a ballpark, not a quote.
Even so, it tells you where the Torcal sits. At around AED 800,000 it lands right next to the cheapest new Bentleys on sale here, which suggests it will be the brand’s new entry point rather than a flagship:
| New in the UAE (price sites) | Starting price |
|---|---|
| Bentley Continental GT | about AED 800,000 |
| Bentley Flying Spur | about AED 850,000 to 870,000 |
| Bentley Bentayga | about AED 850,000 to 980,000 |
| Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 SUV | about AED 831,900 |
| Lotus Eletre | from about AED 480,000 |
These are price-site figures and they don’t always agree. YallaMotor still lists discontinued W12 models, for example. Always get the real number from the dealer. The closest electric rival you can buy in the UAE today is the Maybach EQS SUV.
Bentley hasn’t given a date for the Middle East. Press reports say production starts in 2027 and first deliveries begin around mid 2027, with the US first and other markets following through existing dealers. A UAE arrival in 2027 or later is a reasonable expectation, but it isn’t confirmed.
Bentley is sold here by Bentley Emirates, part of Al Habtoor Motors, which has showrooms on Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai and in Al Khalidiya in Abu Dhabi. If you want to be early in the queue, register your interest with them.
The Torcal can take up to 400 kW, but you won’t find many chargers that fast here. DEWA’s public network in Dubai mostly offers fast chargers of about 50 kW and ultra-fast units of 150 kW or more, and DC charging costs AED 1.26 per kWh. DEWA’s network was past 740 charge points by December 2024, and the federal UAEV network is adding fast chargers across all seven emirates.
In practice, most owners will charge at home overnight and use public chargers to top up. On a 150 kW unit, a 10 to 80% charge will take noticeably longer than Bentley’s 16 to 20 minutes. Two things are still unknown: how the range holds up in a 45°C summer, and whether Bentley will offer anything specific to the GCC heat. The 10-year battery warranty is the main reassurance so far. Ask the dealer about a home wall box when you order.
At around AED 800,000, the Torcal goes up against a large used Bentley market. Dubizzle alone had 329 used Bentleys listed when we checked. Here’s what sellers were asking across Dubizzle, DubiCars and YallaMotor:
There’s a clear jump in price at the 2021 Bentayga facelift, and a big share of listings are imports rather than GCC spec, so check where a car came from. A 2021 or 2022 Bentayga that cost around AED 850,000 to 980,000 new is now asking roughly half that. The Torcal will probably lose value steeply too, and nobody has resale data yet for a luxury electric SUV in the UAE.
Before buying any used Bentley, check its history properly and get the air suspension inspected on first-generation Bentaygas, which UAE buying guides flag as an expensive repair.
1 Bentley listed right now at AED 620,000.
It’s the first all-new Bentley in ten years and the only electric one.
A V8 doesn’t depend on finding a fast charger between Dubai and the mountains, and the facelifted car is plentiful on the used market.
You get the current-looking SUV for roughly half its new price, with an established resale market here.
Bentley’s own comparison point for the Torcal’s handling, and new prices start at about the same AED 800,000.
It’s on sale in the UAE now at a similar price, while the Torcal is still a year or more away.

Bentley quotes up to 600 km on the WLTP cycle from a 113 kWh battery. The figure is still pending European type approval, and real-world range in UAE summer heat will be lower.
It accepts up to 400 kW DC, which Bentley says takes it from 10 to 80% in about 16 to 20 minutes. Most public chargers in the UAE are 50 kW to 150 kW, so charging will take longer here.
Bentley doesn’t name the platform, but several motoring outlets report that it shares its 800-volt underpinnings with the Porsche Cayenne Electric. The design, cabin and tuning are Bentley’s own.
